As we know, hammer crusher mainly crushes raw material by impact force produced by high-speed high manganese steel hammer, so the service life of hammer directly decides the working efficiency of hammer crusher. So in this article, we introduce solutions to extend the service life of high manganese steel hammer.

Properly operate and maintain the hammer crusher in order to keep it in good condition is the effective way to extend the service life of hammer. So in the daily operation and maintenance of hammer crusher, we should pay attention to the following aspects:

• 1. Control the feeding raw material size.

  Customer should properly control the feeding size of raw material according to the model and its specifications.

• 2. Weigh the newly changed hammer.

  Because there is certain deviation in high manganese steel hammer in the processing, so when change a new hammer, customer should weigh it. According to their weights, we can divide them into several groups with same weights. Or, the rotor will lose balance in the working process, causing the vibration of hammer crusher. In this case, the damage speed of each hammer is different, making the service life of the whole set of hammer reducing.

• 3. The raw materials should be fed into hammer crusher evenly and continuously.

  And at the same time, operator should keep the feeding speed at a proper degree in order to avoid the over impact to rotor or blocking in crushing cavity, which will both accelerate the damage of hammer.

• 4. Control the moisture content of raw materials, especially in rainy season.

  If possible, operator can firstly dry the raw materials with high moisture content to reduce the water content and improve the crushing efficiency.

• 5. Avoid uncrushable materials enter crushing cavity.

  When there is uncrushable material enters the crushing cavity or the impact plate drops off, it will damage the grate frame and accelerate the damage of hammer. So once found these problems, operator should stop the hammer crusher immediately and remove the uncrushable material or change impact plate.
