In complete artificial sand production plant, sand making machine is the necessary and core equipment. And the effect of sand making machine will directly affect the effect of the whole plant. There are several factors affect the production effect of sand making machine and knowing these factors will help us find solutions to improve the effect of sand making machine.

There are 3 aspects of factors that affect sand making machine effect: properties of raw material (soil content of raw material and density of raw material), structure of sand making machine (dip angle of groove, height of downflow weir), and operation method (ore pulp density, feeding volume).

1. Properties Of Raw Material

Soil content: The higher of the soil content in raw materials, the larger the viscosity of ore pulp, then the smaller the setting velocity of the ore particles in ore pulp, the coarser the size of overflow products. In order to get proper overflow fineness, we can properly increase the water amount to reduce the ore pulp density. If the soil content of raw material is too low, we should properly improve ore pulp density to avoid too much fine powders in the final products.

Density: When the other factors are fixed, the smaller the raw material density, the larger the ore pulp viscosity. At this time, the overflow products fineness gets coarse. On the contrary, the larger the raw material density, the smaller the ore pulp viscosity is. At this time, the overflow products fineness gets finer, so fine powders content in the final products increases. in this case, while adopt sand making machine to process large density raw materials, operators should improve the sand making density, and reduce the sand making density when processing small density raw materials.

2. Structure Of Sand Making Machine

Dip angle of groove: The dip angle of groove not only decides the subsidence area of sand production, but also affects the turbulence level of ore pulp, thus affect the quality of overflow products. When the dip angle is small, the subsidence area is large, the overflow fineness is fine, and there are many fine powders in the final products. On the contrary, when the dip angle of groove increases, the subsidence area decreases. At this time, the coarse particles are easier to slide down, and the overflow fineness gets coarser.

Height of downflow weir: Adjust the height of downflow weir of sand making machine can change the size of subsidence area. When the height of downflow weir increases, the subsidence area of ore pulp increases, so does the volume of sand production area. In this case, impeller has relative weak turbulence level to ore pulp, and the overflow fineness gets finer. If we want to get coarser overflow fineness, we should reduce the height of downflow weir.

3. Operation Method

Ore pulp density: Ore pulp density is one of the most important adjusting factors of sand making machine operation. When the ore pulp density is low, the overflow fineness is fine. When the ore pulp density increases, the overflow fineness also gets coarser. In the actual production process, for sand making machine dealing with specific mineral ore, we should adopt proper ore pulp density. When the ore pulp density is proper, keep proper sand making size, we can get ideal capacity; keep proper production rate, we can get smallest partition size.

Feeding volume: When the ore pulp density is fixed, if the feeding volume increases, upflow speed of ore pulp also increases, so the overflow fineness gets coarser. But if the feeding volume decreases, the overflow fineness gets finer, and the fine powder content in final products also increase. In this case, the feeding volume of sand making machine should be proper and stable to make sure the normal running of machine and get ideal sand production effect.
