Project Background

A mining company in India intended to produce calcium carbonate powder with fineness of 5-10 micron. Required capacity was 1.0 ton per hour. They had a Raymond mill which cannot meet their desired fineness. The feeding size of the raw stone is 300-360mm. They had a primary 16"×10" jaw crusher. Based on customer’s situation, we recommended full set of XZM221 Ultrafine mill for their requirement. The mill was installed in 2009 and is running perfectly in India now.

Production Process

Raw material of 300-360mm is primarily crushed by the jaw crusher down to 50mm and then enters our hammer crusher. After secondary crushing, it would be less than 10mm. When the material is being ground in the mill next, the blower blows the powder to classifier, and bigger powder falls down, being reground over and over again. 10micron and less than 10micron powder then goes to the cyclone collector and be collected in the cyclone collector.
