Construction Waste Process Design
At present, the construction waste processing technology mainly includes crushing, magnetic separation, air classification, screening and some other stages. According to the type of construction waste, demand of recycled products, the process technology will be different. There are mainly two kinds of design methods for construction waste processing, one is crushing& screening design method and the other is separation& impurity-removing design method.
Crushing& Screening Design Method
Crushing and screening are the main process in the recycling of construction waste. And the crushing equipment selection and screening process directly related with the grain shape, grain distribution and powder content, which also affects the quality and economic benefits of recycled aggregates. In the crushing& screening method, according to the components of construction waste, the commonly used equipment are jaw crusher, impact crusher, cone crusher, vertical shaft impact crusher and vibrating screen.
Crushing
Jaw crusher is generally used for primary crushing the construction waste. It features large feed size, high crushing capacity and efficiency, low energy consumption etc. Cone crusher can be used for secondary crushing and fine crushing. Besides, the final products of cone crusher contain less powder, which is spoken highly of the customers. But the needle-like particle content is relatively higher.
Impact crusher is generally used for single-stage crushing or combined with jaw crusher. Impact crusher also has large feed size, high crushing efficiency and good cubical final products. Besides, it can reduce the crushing stage and simplify the production flow. But it consumes more energy and its final products contain much powder. Vertical shaft impact crusher can be used for both fine and coarse crushing. It has high crushing efficiency and good cubical final products with very less needle-like particles.
Screening
The screening process of construction waste mainly shows in two aspects: the first one is for screen the waste soil and some other sundries in the construction waste; the other one is used for screening and grading the crushed products. The common used screening equipment are vibrating screen, drum screen and grizzly screen etc.
