Causes And Solutions Of Oil Leakage Of Vibrating Screen Main Shaft
There are two ways to lubricate the main shaft bearing of vibrating screen. First, an oil cup is installed on the bearing seat to lubricate the bearing by adding grease manually; the other way is to fill the closed cavity of the main shaft with oil for total loss system, which penetrates into the bearing for lubrication through the flow of oil.
No matter which lubrication method is used, oil leakage may occur on the end faces of the bearing seat after the vibrating screen works for a period of time, sometimes even serious oil leakage. If the bearing seat is disassembled to check the bearing end cover and seal ring, and no damage and crack is found, then what is the cause of oil leakage?
1. Causes of oil leakage of vibrating screen main shaft
(1) Add grease manually
Since the grease is a condensate, if there is leakage, there are two conditions to be met when no damage and crack is found in the bearing end cover and sealing ring.
First, the temperature of vibrating screen bearing increases sharply, the grease changes from solid to liquid, and the fluidity increases;
The second is that the medium in the closed cavity of the main shaft group of the vibrating screen produces an external pressure, forcing the liquid grease to squeeze outward to form a leakage.
The inner ring and outer ring of the bearing are heated due to rolling friction. If the lubrication is not enough, the bearing temperature will rise sharply. At the same time, because the main shaft (eccentric shaft) repeatedly compresses and expands the medium in the closed cavity in the process of rotation, it not only makes the medium in the closed cavity produce a relatively large extrusion force, but also causes the temperature of the medium to rise, which is transmitted to the bearing of vibrating screen, resulting in the bearing temperature rising higher. Therefore, the influence of eccentric part on the medium in the closed cavity is an important reason for the leakage of lubricating oil.
(2) Add oil for total loss system in the closed cavity of the main shaft
In this case, the medium in the closed cavity is the oil for the total loss system. When the vibrating screen is working, the eccentric part of the eccentric shaft continuously compresses and expands the oil for total loss system due to rotation, which causes the oil to move violently in the closed cavity, continuously separating, breaking, tearing and friction. The oil temperature rises sharply and the fluidity increases sharply. At the same time, an outward extrusion pressure is generated, which leads to the oil continuously leakage through the assembly gap of the bearing.
2. Solution for oil leakage of vibrating screen main shaft
One is to ensure that the main shaft bearing is maintained at a suitable temperature;
The other is to eliminate the influence of the eccentric part of the eccentric shaft on the medium in the closed cavity (air or oil for total loss system) in the process of rotation.
Through practical test, it is the best to use two methods to lubricate the main shaft bearing of the vibrating screen at the same time.
On the one hand, lubricating grease has good lubricating performance, which can also block the bearing assembly gap and prevent oil leakage. On the other hand, the oil for the total loss system has good fluidity and good cooling effect, which can ensure that the main shaft bearing is in an optimal working environment.
